AFTERWORD
When I first watched RoV on Turkish TV, it hit me hard. I was 12 then and I was truly fascinated by this extra-ordinary anime series.
I especially grew a liking for Oscar as the series continued. I admired her for her strong character, nobility, passion, struggles and beauty.
She was unique to me and to this day she still is. That's how she became a muse for me. With the inspiration I got from her, I won a poetry contest,
a composition contest and I got to see a painting I dedicated to her in an exhibition. And now, I'm writing these lines with the inspiration I get from her.
|
I realize now that I was too young to understand the story of RoV back then because of its deep psychological content and characters.
I remember how obsessed I was with the series. I didn't cry for Oscar's death once but maybe five times. But later this obsession left its place to a better understanding of the world and sweet memories.
|
Lastly, I'd just like to say that RoV is not just a story. It's a first-hand history book that I'll enjoy all through my life.
I've built this shrine out of my love for Oscar François but also to commemorate the sweet memories of my adolescence. That's why I wanted its title
to be something personal to me rather than to the character. That's why it's called Ma bien-aimée (Well, we all know that Oscar is French, so that's
not too personal XP) because Oscar is my beloved muse.

LadyOscar.com
One of the oldest RoV sites. It's very comprehensive site but goes on to hiatus very often. You can visit the forum!
The Rose of Versailles
First result you get on Google. This site has been online since eternity. It's very simple, very informative and it's absolutely
impossible that you haven't bumped into this pages if you searched RoV on internet.

DestinyOfRoses.org
I used to adore that site! It hasn't been updated since 2001 but it has many interesting stuff like fanfiction. Sadly it's
incomplete and I'm dying to know the rest of the story!

Laura's Little Corner
Another RoV site that's been around since long time. Plus, it's the biggest RoV fanworks site on the net! It has loads of fanarts and fanfictions in

FANLISTINGS
Here are the few fanlistings I joined. I always wanted to have a site just to join fanlistings and put their codes on XP
Besides since RoV isn't the most popular anime in the world it needs support so fanlistings are one way to do it.
